# Translate Missing Emails

> Queue AI translation for every sequence and transactional email missing a language

Queue AI translation for every sequence email (including sequence A/B variants)
and enabled transactional email that has no translation in a language yet, or
whose last translation failed. Send an empty object to cover every enabled
non-primary locale.

Adding a language in the dashboard already does this for that language. Use
this endpoint to fill in emails added since, or to retry failed translations.

Translations you edited, up-to-date translations and outdated ones are left
alone. To retranslate one email, use [Sync Template
Localizations](https://docs.sequenzy.com/api-reference/templates/sync-localizations.md).

Translations run in the background, behind translations someone is waiting for
in the editor. Follow them with [Get Translation
Coverage](https://docs.sequenzy.com/api-reference/templates/localization-coverage.md). Repeating the request
while translations are queued queues nothing new for them. Personal API keys
with the marketer role only translate sequence emails.

## Request

**locales** `array`

Enabled non-primary locale codes to translate into. Omit to translate into
all of them. An empty array is rejected.

## Response fields

**locales** `string[]`

Locales checked for missing translations.

**queuedEmails** `number`

Emails with at least one translation queued. `0` when nothing is missing.

**queuedTranslations** `number`

Email and locale pairs queued.
