# Mark Conversation Unread

> Mark a conversation unread again

Set the conversation's unread flag and mark its latest received message unread, for example to leave it for a teammate. [Mark Conversation Read](./mark-read) or opening the conversation in the dashboard clears it again. Marking an already unread conversation is safe to repeat.

Requires the `conversations:write` scope.

## Request
