# Run Account Health Check

> Check the account now instead of waiting for the schedule

Queue an account health check now. It usually finishes within a minute. Poll
[Get Account Health](./get) until `runInProgress` is `false` to read the
result.

If a check is already queued or running, that check is returned with
`alreadyInProgress: true` instead of starting another one. Manual checks may
lay out inactive draft sequences (no emails written) when autonomy is
`draft_fixes`, and never send the report email.

Requires the `sequences:write` scope. Viewers cannot run checks.

## Request

```bash theme={null}
curl -X POST "https://api.sequenzy.com/api/v1/account-health/runs" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
```

## Response fields

<ResponseField name="run" type="object">
  The queued or in-flight check: `id`, `trigger`, `status`, `scheduledFor` and
  `createdAt`.
</ResponseField>

<ResponseField name="alreadyInProgress" type="boolean">
  `true` when an existing check was returned.
</ResponseField>

<ResponseExample>
  ```json 202 theme={null}
  {
    "success": true,
    "run": {
      "id": "run_789",
      "trigger": "manual",
      "status": "queued",
      "scheduledFor": "2026-10-13T10:02:11.000Z",
      "createdAt": "2026-10-13T10:02:11.000Z"
    },
    "alreadyInProgress": false
  }
  ```

  ```json 409 theme={null}
  {
    "error": "Account health checks run for workspaces with more than 1,000 active subscribers that sent email in the last 14 days.",
    "code": "NOT_ELIGIBLE"
  }
  ```

  ```json 429 theme={null}
  {
    "error": "A check ran in the last 10 minutes. Try again in 6 minute(s).",
    "code": "RATE_LIMITED",
    "retryAfterSeconds": 342
  }
  ```
</ResponseExample>

A `429` means a manual check ran in the last 10 minutes, or the latest check
finished less than a day ago and left findings open (rerunning would only
repeat them). Resolve, snooze or dismiss the open findings, or wait
`retryAfterSeconds` before retrying. A `409` does not change on
retry until the company has more than 1,000 active subscribers and has sent
email in the last 14 days.
